Tom DuBois (JHNA, Moderator) – Tom currently supports US Army Assistant PEO Aviation – Engineering & Architecture advising on how to best implement MOSA. Prior to his Army assignment, Tom worked at Boeing and L3Harris and has been involved in practical implementations of MOSA ever since the term was coined. He led several MOSA demonstrations and published a series of articles highlighting his experiences and lessons learned in MOSA on LinkedIn (#MOSAMemoirs).

Matt Sipe (Parry Labs, former US Army PEO Aviation MOSA Transformation) – Matt currently drives MOSA initiatives as a Vice President at Parry Labs. Before that, he was director of MOSA Transformation for US Army PEO Aviation. In that role, he guided the PEO towards practical uses of MOSA having witnessed much of what government and industry are doing on this approach.

Scott Wigginton (US Army DEVCOM) – Scott leads S&T research on innovative MOSA and Model-Based System Engineering initiatives. Over the years, he has been uniquely positioned to witness numerous examples of what works best in the field of MOSA and what areas need improvement.

Kirk Avery (Lockheed Martin) – Kirk is a Senior Fellow and Chief Systems Architect at Lockheed Martin. He guides Lockheed’s work in MOSA architectures and is actively involved in the development and deployment of MOSA-based solutions for fixed and rotary wing platforms. In addition, Kirk holds lead positions on consortia developing the FACETM and SOSATM standards.

Galen Valentine (Bell Textron) – Galen is a Bell systems architect working the FLRAA program. He can provide insights on practical applications of MOSA for that program and others to the extent they can be shared in an open forum.

Jonathan Demildt (Raytheon / Collins) – Jonathan is both a pilot and systems engineer. At Collins, he has practical knowledge on use of DO-297, ARP-4754, ARP-4761, ARINC 661, MIL-STD-882 standards as related to MOSA for successful execution on major development programs.

Michael Ubowski (Northrop Grumman) – Michael is a Chief Architect at Northrop Grumman specializing in the development and integration of air vehicles, particularly rotorcraft. He has insights from his experiences employing MOSA to effectively break vendor lock and enhance system interoperability.

Andrew Augenstein (The Boeing Company) – Andrew Augenstein is the Vertical Lift Division Software Engineering Lead, overseeing defense software development in Mesa and Philadelphia. He has direct knowledge of MOSA efforts associated with Attack and Cargo helicopters.

Michael Orlovsky (L3Harris Technologies) – Mike currently works for L3Harris following his time at Lockheed Martin. He has practical expertise in application of the Sensor Open System Standard (SOSATM) drawing from his experiences at both companies. Mike provides a practical view of MOSA principles at the subsystem level relative to weapon system level integrations.
