JHNA Participates as Virtual Judge for Army’s eCYBERMISSION Program
April 1, 2016
JHNA proudly supports the Army’s 2016 eCYBERMISSION initiative, a web-based, nationwide science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) competition for students in grades 6 to 9. Participants identify and solve real problems within their communities through research and experimentation in areas including Food, Health & Fitness, Environment, Robotics, and Technology. Nearly half of JHNA’s employees volunteered as virtual judges and will score and provide feedback on over 150 projects. “I’ve volunteered as a virtual judge for eCYBERMISSION for seven years because it challenges and provides high-value professional mentorship to grade-school children who will be the STEM workforce of the next decade,” said Tom Ballenger, JHNA’s Principal Requirements Developer for Aviation Systems.
Teams that advance to the national event in June compete for thousands of dollars in U.S. Series EE Savings Bonds.
